Graduates of the Academy of Advanced Manufacturing and manufacturers who have hired U.S. military veterans from the program share perspectives on the impact of this groundbreaking program as its first year comes to a close. The academy provides a path for veterans to leverage the technical expertise gained during their tenure in the military to continue their journey of service in careers that help to address the critical skills gap in advanced manufacturing.
As of this month, nearly 100 veterans have graduated from the academy and embarked upon new careers with companies across the United States. By 2020, Rockwell Automation has plans to scale that number to 1,000 veterans per year.
