FactoryTalk Production: Model Your Production Process

Saturday, February 9, 2019Description :
FactoryTalk Production lets you model your production process with a hypothetical representation of your plant, including sites, areas, lines, work centers and equipment. You can model changes to your process online, without affecting running build plans. To illustrate how modelling works, we’ve designed a model to represent a cell phone assembly line. The cell phones are assembled in six steps at multiple work centers. In Production, we represent this by adding and connecting various resources in our plant model. So, for example, because it takes about three times as long to complete the step to add a screen as it does to complete the other steps, the line layout reflects three parallel work centers for that step. And here, you see a conditional branch that reflects how the remaining process flow is dependent on testing of the assembled product. And, if screen assembly time were to slow even further, for example, and become a bottleneck, we could easily add a fourth work center. It may take time to add the new work center physically, but adding it to your MES is quick and easy. http://rockwell.lookbookhq.com/ftp-ebook
