A double-coated electrode consists of two separate layers:
1. The ?inner layer? with higher basicity
2. The rutile type ?outer layer?
The arc-stabilizing minerals and metal powders are concentrated in the inner coating, and the minerals delivering the gas shielding are concentrated in the outer coating. This combination enables unique weldability characteristics.
CUSTOMER BENEFITS:
•Easy to be used, even for beginners
•Reduced post-welding reworking
•Ideal for root passes even with poor joint preparation and irregular gaps
•Fewer cold cracking issues
•Deeper penetration
•Wider array of equipment can be used
