ABB Robotics New Press Automation Lab in Regional Application Center Barcelona

ABB recently opened its Press Automation Lab at the Barcelona Press Automation Regional Application Center. The Lab will be used as a showroom of the latest ABB robotic products and solutions for press tending applications as well as R&D centre for the development of new stamping and automation technologies. The showroom is equipped with two servo-press simulators and two loading and unloading robots to simulate customer production in a stroke-by-stroke or continuous mode with the real press and part parameters. A second cell allows testing the IRB 760FX (new 7 axis robot for fast automation) with real parts. Additionally to the Barcelona Lab, ABB has press automation showrooms and demo-cells in Shanghai, Seoul and Toronto for customers and Value Provider’s simulations and training.
