ESPRIT 5-axis on an Okuma Genos M460V-5AX

For ESPRIT World 2019 we partnered with our headlining sponsor Okuma to complete this super cool Formula 1 concept car. The car body was machined out of a 16 x 6.25 x 2.75-inch Block of Aluminum 6061on a 5 Axis Okuma Genos M460V-5AX. Tooling was provided by Kennametal and the fixture holding by Schunk. The car’s wheels were machined separately on an Okuma LU3000EXII-MYW, making this one sweet ride with a top speed of 2mph.
