FactoryTalk Production: Build Your Workflows

With FactoryTalk Production, you can design re-usable workflows and attach them to work centers and equipment to define assembly tasks. Here, we’ve configured a workflow for a cell phone assembly line. The second step in the workflow, Sample Screen Consume, adds a screen to a case and battery subassembly. We edit the workflow in the editor by configuring widgets that represent steps in the assembly process. We can define conditional logic, loops or branches, but, in our example, we need only to configure Sample Screen Consume to add a screen from the BoM. We then define how to mount the screen by adding instructions using the instruction widget. We simply drag the widget where we want it in the workflow, configure the appropriate instruction document, and save the changes.
