The new vision sensor for OPTIV M optical CMMs provides a 2x larger field of view and significantly boosts measurement throughput. With the expanded field of view, a larger portion of the workpiece is visible to the vision sensor, reducing the number of images required to measure the entire component. The new vision sensor, combined with PC-DMIS MultiCapture, allows more elements to be captured and measured simultaneously within the broader field of view, speeding up the inspection process.
With OPTIV M, the non-contact vision sensor with high-resolution metrology camera, zoom optics, and versatile LED illumination is the primary measuring sensor, supported by additional contact and non-contact sensors to enable complete 3D measurements from a single machine. The full line of OPTIV M optical CMMs has been upgraded with the new large field of view vision sensor. For OPTIV M machines already installed in the field, targeted vision sensor upgrade kits are available.
