Researchers at Imperial College London use Renishaw’s additive manufacturing (metal 3D printing) technology to investigate the use of complex lattice structures in orthopaedic surgery. Applications of their research include creating more bone like materials to be used in orthopaedic implants and surgical instruments which can control the loading the surgeon delivers during surgery.
