ATS600: Positional correction of a high-altitude radio telescope

Our partners in Russia recently visited the BTA telescope to perform delicate positional correction tasks using the Leica Absolute Tracker ATS600. The BTA is an optical telescope with the largest main monolithic mirror diameter in Eurasia. It is Installed in the Special Astrophysical Observatory in Karachay-Cherkessia, Russia, at an altitude of 2070 metres.
