Description
Adsorption compressed air drying technology produces water-free air, eliminating any risk of condensation from the residual water vapour in the compressed air.
The design of the DB adsorption dryer range combines reliability and ease of operation to meet the most demanding industrial applications.
Pressure dew points of -20°C to -70°C, depending on the application, ensure the production of dry, clean air.
Operating principle:
The adsorption drying principle is based on the ability of the desiccant material to absorb the water contained in the air in vapour form.
During the drying phase, the pores of the desiccant material capture the water vapour by capillarity (a phenomenon comparable to a sponge absorbing water on contact).
Furthermore, drying quality is directly linked to the quality of the incoming air (free of liquid water, dust and oil) and to the volume of desiccant material in the columns.
Conversely, during the regeneration phase, as the air naturally becomes saturated with humidity, the circulation of dry air dries out the desiccant material. The column is then ready for a new drying cycle.
