Description
Prud'homme Transmissions is further expanding its range of couplings with food-grade helical couplings.
These multi-helical flexible couplings are made of PEEK plastic, which makes them particularly suitable for use in the pharmaceutical, medical or food industries.
Their light weight allows them to be used in applications where the weight of stainless steel would create excessive stress. These plastic couplings are 51 % lighter than their aluminium equivalents and 83 % lighter than stainless steel models.
Their resistance to most cleaning or corrosive products, as well as to X, beta and gamma radiation, makes them an excellent solution for couplings installed in radiography equipment.
These couplings are also electrical insulators.
These rigid couplings are torsionally rigid yet axially and angularly flexible, and are particularly suitable for AC or DC servomotors, especially at very high rotational speeds, and for stepper motors.
The absence of a keyway ensures excellent dynamic balancing, allowing them to be used at speeds of up to 50.000 rpm.
They are also available as standard in aluminium and, on request, in steel and stainless steel
