Description
Optimal use of space
Drive-in racking is designed to store large quantities of pallets of the same reference and increase the use of storage space compared to conventional pallet racking systems. The space saving is due to the elimination of a large part of the working aisles. This system allows very dense storage, close to bulk storage, with maximum safety for goods too fragile to be stacked on top of one another.
The Pal Rack pallet racking system from Stow is particularly suited to the construction of drive-in installations. With upright widths up to 140 mm, Stow is able to design high-rise installations. The main features are as follows:
The uprights allow level adjustment every 50 mm. The independent support arms allow different level adjustment from aisle to aisle!
The pallet support rails are not only very strong but also highly functional thanks to the pallet centring system
Single-access drive-in racking is loaded and unloaded on a last in, first out (LIFO) basis. Drive-through racking is loaded and unloaded on a first in, first out (FIFO) basis. An option often recommended is floor guide rails. They guide the trucks, or even the loads, and thus ensure greater longevity of the installation.
Drive-in racking can be divided into three types, depending on the loading and unloading method and the accessibility of the blocks: SINGLE-ACCESS DRIVE-IN, DOUBLE-ACCESS DRIVE-IN and DRIVE-THROUGH (through).
