The Absolute Camera AAC is a Hexagon laser tracker automation solution dedicated to measuring small repeated features such as drill holes. With positioning powered by an Leica Absolute Tracker AT960, the camera-based AAC sensor is robot mounted, allowing for automated measurement of a part and its small features. The solution also involves the use of Leica T-Scan 5, which is automatically swapped in and out of the system using a tool changer.
Applications that require the measurement of small repeated features are common in the aerospace sector, and this video shows an Absolute Camera AAC setup installed at the National Institute for Aviation Research at Wichita State University in Kansas, US.
