Description
The IMPCO Transmission Protection System (ITP) is designed for internal combustion forklift trucks to protect the gearbox and drivetrain.
Designed for torque converter transmissions controlled by solenoid valves.
The system offers numerous features designed to protect the transmission and tyres.
The system prevents operators from changing direction at high speed or at high engine speed.
It also prevents operators from using the truck as a bulldozer and prevents wheel-spin starts.
These features allow the gearbox and transmission to remain fully passive when a change of direction is selected, thereby protecting the forklift truck against wheel slip and premature transmission failure.
Features:
Prevents abrupt forward-to-reverse direction changes
Save up to 300% on tyre wear per year
Complete transmission protection system
Puts an end to jerky starts and tyre slip
Enables operators to drive safely
Reduces breakdowns
The system can be commissioned in less than 12 months
The ITP uses the latest generation microprocessor; it is also very compact and can easily be concealed.
A comprehensive anti-tampering and fault diagnostic is built into the dashboard display; a green indicator light shows when a change of direction is permitted.
Red indicator lights are used to signal an engine speed signal fault or a speed signal fault.
In addition to the dashboard display, the ITP is also fitted with an audible alarm.
In the event of a problem, the audible alarm sounds to alert the driver.
