Measuring and calibrating 5-axis machine tools
The OPTIFIVE® system is designed to measure and calibrate 5-axis machine tools.
It can be used with any type of head configuration.
Equipped with 3 sensors connected to a touch interface, the OPTIFIVE® software determines the machine's accuracy and calculates the new tool pivot point parameters (RTCP, TRAORI...)
To validate the OPTIFIVE® results, the machine's geometry must be known.
With the OPTIFIVE® software, we configure the machine's kinematic type and the travel of the circular axes. The software generates the program to be loaded into the CNC; then data acquisition runs and, if applicable, the new tool pivot point parameters are calculated. Depending on the models, these parameters must be entered into the CNC.
The system is simple to use.
The OPTIFIVE® system can be used by the machine operator as preventive maintenance or before each machining of high-value-added parts.
The OPTIFIVE® software was developed by the company EMCI. EMCI has specialised for more than 15 years in measurement, laser interferometer calibration, BALLBAR diagnostics and geometric verification of machine tools.
