We visited WTX Europe, in Roubaix, France, to see how its automated and manual TubeInspect cells and BendingStudio XT software are drastically improving their tube inspection and bending programme correction process for better production line efficiency. Benjamin Fichaux, Product & Process Engineering Manager at WTX Europe, talked us through the adaptation of the operators from the historical use of gauges to the innovative inspection solutions that TubeInspect and BendingStudio XT represent and what motivated the company’s choice to invest later in an automated cell, as a form of ?Artificial Intelligence?. Additionally, Najim El Khaouafi, Plant manager at WTX Europe, stressed the benefits of the TubeInspect cells, which allow the production department to be more productive, improve the maintenance of their bending machines, their production line’s capacity and stock level management. We visited Plume Mobility in France and discovered its electric scooter, the Plume Allure, developed with its partner WTX Europe, which specialises in manufacturing the various tubes included in the e-scooter design. We spoke with Benjamin Fichaux, Product & Process Engineering Manager at WTX Europe, who explained the concept behind this sustainable means of transport. This includes using TubeInspect measurement cells and BendingStudio XT software, which allow more freedom in elaborating this innovative product, thanks to easier tube inspection and bender programming, an automatic correction process, and no need for gauges.
