Designed by Panasonic Global Design Solutions in close collaboration with industry leaders, Panasonic's next-generation end-of-pipe testing solution was launched at Automechanika in Frankfurt, Germany. With AMTS (Automotive Mobile Test Solution), Panasonic combines the technology required by the industry for efficient production and initialization of vehicles and business functionality while seamlessly integrating into the professional IT environment.
Priority to the user and process
By its design, the device facilitates the use and incorporation of automotive production processes. The AMTS, based on the ultra-hardened Toughpad FZ-M1 tablet, features a 7 "Capacitive Multi-Touch display, a non-contact NFC card reader, built-in high-power infrared and a bar code scanner 2D, located in the specific design handle to ensure mobility in the production environment. This mobile terminal is placed on the vehicle steering wheel or instrument panel under test using its interchangeable mounting bracket and AMTS is also equipped with four programmable shortcuts for immediate access to the most important applications and features.
Specialized connectivity
The AMTS embeds the connectivity required by vehicle manufacturers: robust dual connectors for USB communication and OBD protected and integrated charging From a VCI device so that the ergonomics of the solution is ensured that the steering wheel is positioned to the right or to the left.
Power for application testing
To meet the process and efficiency requirements for automotive testing, 'AMTS from Panasonic is equipped with the Intel® CoreTM m5-6Y57 vPro processor (1.1 GHz and up to 2.8 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost technology and a 4MB Intel cache) and the Intel® graphics card HD. It works with Windows 10 Pro, but the old version of Windows 7 Professional can also be installed. In terms of storage, the solution is characterized by an optional 128GB or 256GB SSD. The AMTS is equipped with BluetoothTM v4.1 + EDR Class 1 and Intel Dual Wi-Fi Band Wireless-AC 8260; 4G mobile broadband connectivity (Gobi 5000, 3G compatible) is optional.
