The AQUACIAT family of chillers and air / water heat pumps from manufacturer CIAT now has a more powerful version, ranging from 300 to 500 KW, AQUACIAT Power.
The energy efficiency of this new version is 50% higher than the previous generations, and with the total energy recovery option, this ratio can even be improved by 150%.
It is therefore an 'ecological' product with a particularly low energy cost. Silent, it is the only group in its class to offer simultaneously a Class B energy efficiency ratio and a noise level of only 56 dB (A), at 10 meters, for a power of 500kW. AQUACIAT Power is particularly suited for air conditioning and heating of industrial buildings, as well as for process applications (food processing, chemicals, etc.).
AQUACIAT Power is primarily distinguished by its energy efficiency, the fruit of the latest innovations CIAT and the experience accumulated on several tens of thousands of units AQUACIAT in service in the world.
In the standard version, the group achieves an ESEER (European Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio), a seasonal energy performance coefficient setting an average throughout the year of 4.39, ie 1 KW of energy Generates 4.39 KW of refrigerating or heating energy. This yield is 50% higher than that of all traditional groups of older generation. It also has a full-energy efficiency ratio, EER, Class B, 30% better than previous generations.
To further optimize energy efficiency, full or partial energy recovery versions are available as an option. This system makes it possible to recover the heat energy rejected to heat an external water circuit. For the recovery of total energy, a water condenser is added upstream of the air condenser on each refrigerant circuit allowing hot water to be produced in large quantities up to 50 ° C.
In the partial recovery version, water can be obtained from 60 ° C. to 65 ° C., in smaller quantities. The heat of the compressor discharge gases is then used directly by a desuperheater exchanger. This principle is particularly advantageous for industries with simultaneous cooling and process heating requirements. The overall energy efficiency can then be increased by 150% in total recovery mode.
AQUACIAT Power is particularly quiet. This is all the more important as the groups are always located outside. The condenser fans automatically adjust the airflow to the outside temperature, which reduces the noise level in mid-season and overnight (thanks to CONNECT's all-season control system).
In the versions LOW NOISE and Xtra LOW NOISE (options), the compressors are also placed in sound boxes equipped with absorbing materials limiting the sound level. Each compressor is also mounted on anti-vibration pads to prevent the propagation of sound waves.
To further improve AQUACIAT Power's environmental performance, in addition to its low energy consumption, the amount of refrigerant has been minimized through the use of brazed plate heat exchangers.
To facilitate maintenance, all technical components are grouped in a single technical compartment, with easy access for electrical, hydraulic and refrigeration equipment. AQUACIAT Power can be optionally equipped with a complete hydraulic module. The group can communicate remotely with all MODBUS-LONWORKS-compatible centralized management systems, thanks to the CONNECT electronic system.
With its numerous options, AQUACIAT Power adapts to the best of each operating condition.
