Optimised food production and resource efficiency: with PC-based control
Wednesday, February 28, 2018Description :

PC- and cloud-based control technology: the next level in the food industry
At the Anuga FoodTec 2018 trade show, Beckhoff will show you how to adapt food machines quickly and highly efficiently to the specific and increasingly complex requirements in the food and beverage industry using PC-based control technology. Production processes that are as resource-saving as possible, product concepts that can quickly be individualised, control-integrated use of cloud services: find out how all of that can be implemented with a standardised hardware and software platform integrating PLC, motion control, machine vision as well as measurement and process technology, and experience many more highlights at the Beckhoff Booth in Hall 7.

System-integrated: all components to enable simple cloud connectivity
Increase the competitiveness of your machines with a system-integrated cloud solution. Beckhoff offers all components required to enable the direct use of cloud-based services: from powerful IPCs and the IoT Coupler to the corresponding TwinCAT IoT and TwinCAT Analytics software modules.

TwinCAT Vision: integrating machine vision into automation
With TwinCAT Vision, Beckhoff has added integrated image processing functionality to the automation software suite. The importance of machine vision is continually growing and is increasingly becoming a crucial competitive factor for machine builders and their customers: in Industrie 4.0 applications, for quality optimisation or track-and-trace functions. TwinCAT Vision now seamlessly integrates image processing with the universal control platform that already incorporates PLC, motion control, robotics, high-end measurement technology, IoT and HMI. This simplifies the engineering process significantly. In addition, all control functions related to image processing can be synchronised in the runtime system precisely, in real-time.

XTS Hygienic: highlight at Anuga FoodTec
Highly flexible, easy to clean and ideal for the design of filling systems: With the XTS Hygienic, Beckhoff combines the advantages of rotary and linear systems in a stainless steel version for demanding environmental conditions:
- resistant to chemicals and easy-to-clean surfaces
- no concealed edges or undercuts
- seals resistant to high-pressure cleaners
- increased availability of filling systems through reduced changeover and downtimes
- increased flexibility and production speed

AMP8000: reducing the machine footprint and installation space
The AMP8000 distributed Servo Drive system integrates the servo drive directly into the servomotor, breaking new ground for modular machine design. By relocating the power electronics directly into the machine, the space requirements within the control cabinet are reduced to a single coupling module that can supply multiple servo drives with just one cable via a distribution module.

High-end computing power in an ultra-compact design
At Anuga FoodTec, Beckhoff is presenting two representatives of the new generation of extremely compact and flexibly usable IPCs: the new C6030 combines the ultra-compact design of the C6015 with maximised computing power and up to 3.6 GHz per core. It is ideal for use as an all-in-one controller for machine control as well as cloud and IT applications.
