Threaded or threaded spindle for flexible mounting of Igus
Saturday, March 15, 2014Description :
The company igus has added to its range of igubal smooth ball joints a spherical tapping spindle for the direct connection of pneumatic cylinders and gas pressure springs. This spherical pivot is offered in combination with the new polymer bearing, as well as other connecting elements. The system makes additional components unnecessary and reduces assembly time.

The proposed tapping for the spherical pivot, the only one of its kind on the market, makes it unnecessary to add additional connecting elements when connecting pneumatic cylinders and gas pressure springs. Customers have more freedom during the study phase. The fact that the pivot can pivot / pivot in the robust polymer bearing, one of the characteristics of igubal products, also makes it possible to simplify mounting possibilities. Not to mention weight reduction, space saving and compensation for misalignment.

The combination of a metal spherical pivot (steel or stainless steel) and a highly resistant polymer case allows the component to be used even under the most difficult conditions. Since no lubrication is required, this element can be used in environments exposed to dust and dirt, chemicals, moisture and temperature changes. Another characteristic typical of the polymer bearing is its vibration damping which prevents the parts from deforming in high frequency applications.

Available in three stock sizes

The igus spherical pivots are available in three sizes with thread or tapping, depending on the DIN connection dimensions (M6, M8, M10). A fine-mesh variant is also quickly available. The applied polymer bearings with a width range from 25 to 38 mm depending on the desired connection dimension.

The simple assembly and the increased design freedom are complemented by the fast delivery of parts, these stock products can be ordered online and ready to be dispatched from 24h.
