This new robot with integrated vision system is capable of handling parts up to 3 kg at a rate of 110 strokes per minute and is intended for high-precision Pick & Place applications.

A worthy heir to the IRB 340 FlexPicker ™, this new robot is the result of 10 years of experience and development. To ensure optimal control of the packaging process, ABB has managed to integrate the most anticipated major improvements into a single robot.

The load capacity of this IRB 360 FlexPicker ™ robot has been increased by 50% compared to the first generation machines. The robot can now handle parts up to 3 kg. It is also faster because its average cycle time has been reduced by 20% to reach a rate of 110 catches per minute with a load of 3 kg.

Moreover, with its 4 axes, this new robot is able to carry out operations which hitherto required machines with 6 axes of freedom.

The PickMaster ™ integrated vision system plays an essential role. It controls the coordination of high-speed plugs very accurately and identifies defective products. It also simplifies programming, modeling applications and facilitating multi-robot installations.

This robot Pick & Place IRB 360 meets the hygienic constraints of the food industry and in particular those of the food packaging sector (meat, dairy products, prepared meals ...). Indeed, the range IRB 360 is the only one of the market to possess models endowed with a 4th axis built in stainless steel able to handle food directly. With an IP67 sealing index, this axis is also resistant to high pressure washes.

The range includes 3 models: the Compact version, whose working diameter is 800 mm, and the Standard and Strong load versions with an action diameter of 1130 mm. The heavy load model can handle parts up to 3 kg.

Their small size (installation in suspended mounting) and their weight of 120 to 145 kg facilitate their implantation in very varied configurations of machines and line to adapt to all the applications of conditioning.
