Clamp straps are used to secure different objects which are unsuitable for the machine vice, to a work surface. They are designed primarily so that they can be easily adjusted to fit any workpiece. During use you should make sure that the clamp strap is always positioned parallel to the table surface or mounting plate.
With the flattened ball under the clamp strap, workpieces can be fastened to a sloping surface without being damaged. The ball adjusts itself automatically to the workpiece being fastened.
