Laser Grinder, a system for rectifying the flatness of pavements Promadis
Tuesday, July 28, 2009Description :
Designed for use in warehouses, the Laser Grinder allows better movement of the three-way trolleys while meeting current safety standards.

The use of trolleys, mainly three-directional, requires a flat, no-fault surface, at least under their wheels, to ensure their effectiveness and stability (safety). On an irregular ground, the static offset (offset of the boom relative to the vertical) increases with the height of installation, going so far as to prevent the use of this type of machine.

In order to solve this problem, PROMADIS now proposes the LASER GRINDER, a system which grinds the aisles, rectifies their flatness and makes it possible to satisfy the British (TR 34), German (Din 15185) and European standards (CEN 344 29-9-06 ).

The LASER GRINDER is effective for the corrective sanding of the aisles used by forklift trucks of all types: simultaneous sanding of 2 bands for 4-wheeled trucks and construction of a central track for 3-wheeled trucks during a second pass .

Rectification of industrial pavements is possible manually. However, its results are not adapted to the shape and the soil matter. Indeed, on flat floors, a manual sander will tend to create a side profile in a bowl.

The wheels may not lie flat, which may cause lateral offset, loss of wire guidance, or create excessive lateral thrust on the low profile rails. The diamond grinding wheels of the LASER GRINDER are designed to create a flat profile over the entire width of the wheel.

In addition, the LASER GRINDER has been designed to operate in an industrial environment without disrupting the warehouse. Thanks to its integrated wet aspiration sanding process, this unit does not release any dust. Thus, its use remains possible along filled trays, even in premises storing agri-food or pharmaceutical products.
