Expliseat was awarded the JEC Europe Innovation Award for the lightest airplane seat in the world. The award was officially presented at a ceremony held on 11 March 2014 at the JEC in Paris.

The jury selected this unique and innovative headquarters according to its technical interest, its market potential, the industrial partnerships implemented, its financial and environmental impact and its originality. The first composite airplane seat, with a total weight of 4 kg, the Titanium Seat reduces kerosene consumption by $ 400,000 per aircraft per year. This also reduces the airline's footprint: about 1,000 tonnes of CO2 saved per aircraft per year.
Finest thanks to the use of composite and titanium, the Titanium Seat offers a space saving of 5 cm for the passenger. With its unique design developed with an ergonomic laboratory, the Titanium Seat reduces intervertebral shock during flight, take-off and landing phases.
A unique patented technology based on the technical fabrics allows a total absorption of shocks and blows from the rear rows. Thanks to its combination of composite materials and titanium and its simplicity of assembly (30 pieces against an average of more than 300 pieces for a standard seat), the Titanium Seat achieves outstanding performance in terms of maintenance, making it the most sustainable seat on the market. It resists 100,000 cycles of use corresponding to 10 years of operation.
