This new machine vision system combines Cognex Designer ™ software, the powerful VC5 vision controller, 3D laser displacement sensors and new Cognex (CIC) industrial camera models, enabling the rapid creation and deployment of 2D or 3D with one or more cameras, while significantly reducing the development cycle
Based on a high-performance dual-core processor, the VC5 Vision Controller has a dedicated real-time subsystem for industrial communication protocols (EtherNet / IP, PROFINET) and precision I / O. It connects directly to up to four DS1000 3D laser displacement sensors or Cognex GigE Vision® industrial linear array cameras. Designed with OEM components, its life span is three years minimum.
The 3D sensor range has been extended to provide a solution to a variety of unprecedented 3D applications, requiring higher resolution and a wider field of view. For the acquisition of standard images, the CIC range of cameras offers excellent performance in a compact format. The new models include a GigE Vision linear camera, a 2 megapixel matrix camera 60 fps and a 4 MP color camera.
Cognex Designer provides graphical, programmable access to 3D tools for inspection of height, volume, tilt angles and cross-section, as well as the complete 2D VisionPro® tool library including PatMax® , IDMax® and OCRMax ™.
