These new absolute magnet-encoded magnetic displacement and angle measuring systems with Permagnet® vernier technology fill a gap that previously existed in the compact, easy-to-integrate absolute measuring system segment
Available as an open kit for complete integration, they can now also be used in rotary applications. These systems make it possible to automatically adjust, with reliability and speed, the formats, strokes and limit switches of the axes.
Easily integrable with motors and actuators, the new absolute encoding disk provides an ultra-precise and absolute copying solution.
It is therefore an effective alternative to the usual magnetic or optical solutions for the precise control of motors and drives. This solution for rotary applications also offers a small footprint, with only 12 to 20 mm in length and 30 mm in diameter depending on the model.
At the heart of the magnetic scanning and signal generation process is a fully integrated single chip solution. The position data is generated in real time and made available in absolute form via conventional engineering interfaces of the drive systems, such as SSI or BiSS-C bi-directional.
Incremental SIN / COS analog signals and ABZ signals can also be used.
The Balluff evaluation kit is another novelty of the range. It includes an absolute system of Permagnet® magnetized angle measurement with a high precision system. Like the encoding kit, it offers different serial (absolute) and incremental interfaces for connection to different closed-loop systems.
It is very simple to use. Once adapted to the training, the user can perform the system tests required to obtain a customized and optimized solution using the BiSS-USB adapter and the evaluation software provided.
