Arctic Robots: Palletizing robots for low temperatures
Sunday, August 3, 2014Description :
These new Arctic robots from 120 to 240 kg load are able to carry out palletizing operations without any protection up to temperatures down to -30 ° C!

This range of 3 robots has been designed for all your palletizing applications in fresh or cold.

The KR 120/180/240 PA arctic are robots specially designed for palletizing in cold storage. Their essential characteristic is to not require any cover, nor protection and to be able to work below 0 ° C: from + 5 ° C to -30 ° C. What's more, the SmartPad (control panel) also remains completely functional. The robot can optionally receive an energy supply from axis 1 to axis 4 which is also operational in this very cold environment. The set is IP65.

Ideal for frozen and ice cream. The KUKA technology of palletizing cold is ideal for food. It allows the palletization of ice creams, frozen products (pizzas or tarts, fish, fast food ...) now including directly in the freezing rooms - without any loss of quality due to fluctuations in temperature in the cold room Produced, for example, by the cover of the robot. The formation of condensation on frozen products is also eliminated.

Moreover, the high accelerations of these robots (which are impossible with a robot robot) make it possible to reduce the cycle times to the maximum.

The Quantec PA Arctic KRs do not need protection, which generates significant savings compared to solutions with cover. No stopping time, for example, to change the protective cover, which is normally essential at least once a year. Also no heating in the arm of the robot, therefore no emission of hot air very expensive. Additional benefit: the working envelope is maximum since nothing hinders the movements of the KUKA robot.
