Baumer CombiLyz conductivity sensor for monitoring concentrations in liquids
Thursday, August 21, 2014Description :
Baumer enriches its CombiSeries with a new conductivity sensor. CombiLyz is the latest sensor in the series, specially developed for the precise analysis and differentiation of fluids in the food and pharmaceutical industries or in water treatment. The CombiLyz integrates the compact housing of the CombiSeries. With a hygienic design and entirely made of stainless steel, this model which offers a protection class IP 69 K is able to withstand the most extreme conditions.

In practice, the CombiLyz is ideally suited for NEP and SEP processes, for monitoring concentrations in liquids or for phase separation of different fluids. There are a total of 14 selectable measuring ranges from 500 ?S / cm to 1000 mS / cm. The sensor guarantees very precise measurement results with a maximum deviation of less than 1%. It also has a particularly remarkable fast activation time: less than 0.3 seconds for the conductivity measurement and less than 15 seconds for the measurement of the temperature.

The standard version includes the proven CombiView display, which allows to view several process variables simultaneously. In addition to conductivity, it is also the concentration, temperature, current output, switching status or state of the device.

The large display also allows the user to view measured values ??even at large distances. The background color of the screen also functions as a signal light system (red / green), in case the measurement results reach a critical value requiring user intervention. Modifications - including in process - are carried out extremely simply using the touchscreen.
