DATAMAN 9500: an ideal reader for Cognex DPM code
Saturday, November 10, 2012Description :
The DataMan® 9500 is an industrial grade mobile terminal ideal for reading difficult DPM codes in applications where operators need to view code data on a handheld device

The DataMan 9500 mobile terminal has been specially designed for the workshop. It is small and light enough to fit comfortably in the hand and has easy-to-use ergonomic controls.

The DataMan 9500 features Cognex's superior code reading capabilities and the powerful 2DMax ™ algorithm. This algorithm allows the most advanced decoding of difficult-to-read 2D codes, regardless of the method of marking - micro-percussion or laser engraving - on any metal surface.

The liquid lens with adjustable focal length maximizes the depth of field for bar code reading. This industry-proven technology enables the DataMan 9500 to decode remote DPM markings or 1D barcodes at a more distant distance.

The DataMan 9500 connects directly to factory networks via the 802.11 a / b / g protocols on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies for real-time wireless communication.

The DataMan 9500 has Internet Explorer and an integrated keyboard for browsing the Internet and running applications in HTML format. It uses the Microsoft Windows® CE 6.0 operating system to run custom applications on the QVGA (Quarter Video Graphics Array) interface.

In addition, the DataMan 9500 offers all the development tools needed to develop custom programs.
