FLIR K55 thermal imaging camera for firefighting
Monday, January 19, 2015Description :
This thermographic camera, designed for use in the harshest environments, will allow firefighters to see even better in total darkness or smoke-filled spaces.

The K55 camera incorporates FLIR's revolutionary Flexible Scene Enhancement (FSX) technology for crisp thermal imaging. It also has a video recording circuit, which makes it ideal for collecting evidence, but also for training staff. The latest addition to FLIR's K-Series family

With the FSX display, the K55 delivers thermal images with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels on a 4 "LCD screen. Firefighters can travel safely and make better decisions when they attack a fire or look for victims. Details such as edges and angles are enhanced and combined with the original image to produce a more accurate picture.

This FLIR K55 thermal imaging camera also integrates a video recording circuit, making it an excellent tool for documenting what happens inside a fire and is a valuable training aid. The K55 also allows you to store up to 200 JPEG thermal files internally for later review or export via the USB port.

The K55's three-button user interface, simple and intuitive, allows the firefighter to easily access all camera controls, even when wearing thick gloves. The different color modes also make it possible to adapt the FLIR K55 to the most demanding situations.

The K55 is particularly durable: it can withstand a drop of 2 meters on a concrete floor, is water resistant (IP67) and remains fully operational up to +260 ° C / +500 ° F.
