KiTorq Flanged Coupler 4551A
Sunday, February 1, 2015Description :
This new torque meter proposed by Kistler is designed to measure the dynamic torques on the test benches with an accuracy of up to 0.05%.

This dynamic torque meter also allows you to measure rotational speeds or angles with a maximum resolution of up to 8192 pulses per revolution and allows the user to adjust this pulse rate. It is also possible to adjust the rotation speed or the angular resolution according to its own requirements.

The KiTorq type 4551A consists of two components: the rotor for sensing the measurement and the Stator for acquisition and processing. These two elements are not mechanically linked because the information is transmitted without contact. The main advantage of this feature is the modularity of the system because only one Stator can be used with several rotors. It is no longer necessary to disassemble the rotor each time the product is tested.

One of the strong points of this torque meter is the absolute zero value called Z-Impuls', which makes it possible to determine position values ??of absolute angles. Measurement ranges of 50 to 5000 Nm can be carried out in various sizes of installations. The parameterization is carried out using the SensorTool software »via a USB interface or directly via a PLC connected to a Fieldbus or Ethernet port.
